(sand) content in sludge
The significant amount of sand in sewage sludge produces a thick sediment as it settles on the bottom of the putrefactive basin; its removal demands substantial cost and technology, its dehydration is unresolved.
Due to our experience-based solution, sand can be floated continuously in the sludge with specially designed and applied technology, its removal is a routine job. With the solution it is possible to save significant amount of energy, time and money.
Increasing organic substance content in sludge
Communal wastewater sludges cannot be recovered profitably due to their low organic substance content. Sewage purification is a process requiring significant amounts of energy, yet the expedient utilisation of environmentally harmful organic substances allows the production of a very important product, renewable “green” energy.
With our method the joint or separate anaerobic fermentation of high organic substance sludges, communal and industrial waste and substances from agriculture can be used to produce biogas, which we can utilise for energy generation.
The direct feeding of pharmaceutical wastewater into the anaerobic digestion process has an inhibiting effect on decomposition and methane production even if the load is increased gradually (providing time for adaptation). SDT Ltd’s experience-based solution is detecting inhibitor substances and developing their separate preliminary treatment. The result of the process is the creation of a fermentable organic substance that has no inhibiting effect on anaerobic fermentation and expedites biogas production.
Treatment of industrial oil contaminated sludges
Similar to pharmaceutical example, oil contaminated water and sludges are requires specific knowledge also. The main problem is to separate oil and water in the sludge. Our experience-based solution is useing electro-osmosis for treat the sludge. At the end of the process treated water and oil residue that can even be utilised in power plants as a solid fuel.

Excessive energy and chemicals consumption derived from the non-optimal operation of sites. Our specific training program is designed to the local staff of sewage treatment plant. With the daily usage of the recommended methods it is possible to achieve at least 10–20% energy and chemicals saving compared to the previous period.
